Victorian oak & pitch pine staircase
A substantial oak & pitch pine staircase, with two quarter landings. Salvaged from a Victorian villa named 'Everdon', located in Kirkleatham. The villa was bequeathed to Redcar Borough Council in 1923, & formed part of the Stead Memorial Hospital. The intricately carved newel posts & rails are constructed from oak. The rest of the staircase is constructed from pitch pine. Currently painted black.
