Victorian oak & pitch pine staircase

A substantial oak & pitch pine staircase, with two quarter landings. Salvaged from a Victorian villa named 'Everdon', located in Kirkleatham. The villa was bequeathed to Redcar Borough Council in 1923, & formed part of the Stead Memorial Hospital. The intricately carved newel posts & rails are constructed from oak. The rest of the staircase is constructed from pitch pine. Currently painted black.




Staircase height - 366 cm, or 144 inches

Top of stair tread to bannister rail - 81.5 cm, or 32 inch

Stair depth - 30.5 cm,or 12 inch

Height between steps - 12.5 cm, or 5 inch

Newel post max height - 183 cm, or 72 inch

Newel post - 15.5 x 15.5 cm, or 6 x 6 inch
